Circular Peterborough Workshop
Dates(s) - 02/03/2017 - 02/03/2017 09:45 - 13:00
Peterborough Regional College, Park Crescent, Peterborough, PE1 4DZ

The Circular Peterborough Commitment was launched in November 2016, setting out Peterborough’s approach to developing a circular economy. A number of organisations and individuals have already pledged their commitment and support to achieving this vision and we would like to grow this even further.

We want to call upon the expertise, ideas and creativity within the city to help us develop a model for effectively measuring Peterborough’s progress towards achieving these circular goals.

To do this we’re hosting a highly interactive and collaborative workshop on 2nd March at 9.45am – 1pm at Peterborough Regional College.

The focus will be on two key areas:

  • Session 1: Co-creating Circular Peterborough Maturity Model

The aim is to develop a model to measure the progress of the Circular Peterborough programme, centred on the 7R’s – the practical steps Peterborough has developed to help it embark on its Circular City journey. These are set out in the Circular Peterborough Commitment.

  • Session 2: Circular Peterborough Champion Scheme

Building on the pilots we developed last March, we have created a Champion Scheme focussed on the 7R’s. These steps are closely linked to how we will measure progress using the Maturity Model.

This event is open to all organisations and individuals who want to support Peterborough in its journey towards operating as a circular city. Please register your attendance by February 23rd via the following link: https://circularpeterboroughworkshop.eventbrite.co.uk

This is being run by Opportunity Peterborough and Peterborough City Council as part of the Future Peterborough Programme.
