Business Women are encouraged to ‘Be Bold for Change’ to celebrate International Women’s Day at Peterborough Cathedral on Wednesday 8 March.
International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. Opening the event will be keynote speaker Dame Mary Archer DBE who will share her own experiences and challenges faced during her career.
The event will raise the profile of issues that are central to career development for female colleagues. Anna Lee, Supplier Quality Manager at Caterpillar, will talk about her role leading a global team ensuring quality components are received from Caterpillar’s supply base.
A debate on the International Women’s Day theme ‘Be Bold for Change’ will allow delegates to take time to consider their own ambitions or aspirations and barriers they have faced as women.
The Chamber are working in partnership with Peterborough Cathedral who are hosting this event in support of their 900 campaign.
Rachael Church, Director of Fundraising at Peterborough Cathedral, said: “Peterborough Cathedral is looking forward to hosting this exciting event for International Women’s’ Day 2017. This will enable us to further strengthen our relationships with the business community and support women in developing their career ambitions.”
Commenting on her involvement, Dame March Archer said: “I very much look forward to joining women in business on 8 March. As the Cathedral approaches its 900th anniversary, I am delighted to visit this great venue again, especially for such a worthy occasion as International Women’s’ Day.”
