Young Lives / Brotherhood Community Fund Vote

Brotherhood Shopping Community Fund:

Young Lives has been shortlisted to have a chance of winning £1000 from the Brotherhood Shopping Community Fund to support a local Peterborough community project. The details of how Young Lives plan to use the money are as follows:-

“We have identified through conversations with the Police and other agencies’ that the area is lacking in activities for the local community in Orton Goldhay Peterborough. If we were successful in our application we would like to use the award to deliver a series of free creative Art sessions using different mediums, traditional drawing and painting skills all the way to Graffiti culminating with the participants creating a piece of art that will adorn the wall(s) of our building and act as a reminder and reflection of a community creating, working and learning together.”

What Happens Now:

As one of the three finalists Young Lives will go forward to the reader vote in the Peterborough Evening Telegraph. Voting opens on Friday 15th of June and to support this campaign, an article will be printed in the newspaper on Thursday the 21st of June reminding people to vote for who they would like to receive the £1,000. Readers and supporters will have from Friday the 15th until Friday 29th June to cast their vote – Young Lives supporters are also encouraged to ask everyone they know vote for Young Lives! Votes cast before or after these dates will not be counted.
