You are cordially invited to the Peterborough 900 Corporate Partnership Dinner

On Wednesday 11th September, to celebrate one year of Peterborough 900’s Corporate Partnership Scheme, a black tie dinner will take place in the New Building of the Cathedral (the term is relative; it was built in the 15th Century).

Our guest speaker will be Mr. Luke Johnson, chairman of Patisserie Valerie and former chairman of Pizza Express; his topic: ‘Being Bold in Business’.

The Park Inn, Peterborough (a Silver Corporate Partner), has once again kindly agreed to sponsor the pre-dinner reception, with Hawkshead Wines also supporting us.

The Peterborough 900 Campaign will deliver improvements to many of the Cathedral’s facilities and activities – notably around education, heritage and music – enhancing the important role it serves in supporting our community.  It is a fitting way to celebrate the 900th anniversary of the foundation of the Cathedral in 2018.

As a Corporate Partner, when you contribute to the future life and work of our iconic Cathedral you:

• Establish an ongoing partnership between your company and the Cathedral;
• Make a strong statement about your company’s commitment to strengthening the communities in which you work;
• Help develop the city centre as a destination stop for residents and visitors;
• And don’t forget, a charitable gift made through your business is eligible for tax relief.

Since the launch of the Peterborough 900 Corporate Partnership Scheme in September 2012 over thirty businesses in Peterborough and the surrounding area have already signed up, contributing over £110,000 to our campaign. The Cathedral is the city’s most striking feature, and through this Partnership Scheme, business organisations are able to acknowledge the Cathedral’s role as a great asset to the city in which they work. Corporate Partners are kept up to date on the developments through a number of annual events specifically targeted at the needs of the business community.

Peter Winslow, CEO of BGL Group (Platinum Corporate Partner), based in Orton Southgate, writes:

“As a company we are keen to support local projects which will have a lasting impact on a large number of people. The Cathedral’s plan to increase their education facilities, as well as providing space for use by a range of community groups and charities fitted the bill perfectly. We are delighted to become involved”.

Tickets for 11th September are still available, so to discuss how your business might benefit from joining our Corporate Partnership please contact our Campaign Manager, James Dyer at james.dyer@peterborough-cathedral.org.uk or 01733 355315.
