Upgraded website connects city businesses

Opportunity Peterborough has added new functionality to their website which allows city Bondholders to log in and promote their company, services, events and news to other members.

Targeted at companies looking to relocate, the website also promotes Peterborough as an ideal business location, highlighting investment opportunities, business support networks and standard of living in the city. Visitors are able to run free commercial property searches and locate ideal premises for relocating their operations.

However, the new addition means Bondholders can now use the site to their advantage, as they’re able to log into their profile area and post business information, news and events.

Director of economic development at Opportunity Peterborough, Neil Darwin said:

“We’re particularly pleased with this new element of the site and hope Bondholders find it useful. Members have already begun to populate their profiles and we believe it will prove to be a very powerful tool, as it has the potential to connect nearly 600 local businesses.”

The refreshed site is also anchoring distribution of Peterborough investment brochures to more than 7,000 companies operating in a variety of sectors and the launch of an advertising campaign around London, which is promoting Peterborough’s business credentials, as an alternative choice to the overcrowded capital. The adverts can be seen at Peterborough station, King’s Cross underground and on taxis around London.

Neil added: “The advertising campaign is all part and parcel of our big push to market Peterborough to potential investors outside the city. Peterborough and London King’s Cross stations are important gateways to the north as well as parts of the south, so they were ideal locations for spreading the word about our city.”
