The Croft To Host Christmas Fundraiser For RNIB

The Croft (www.thecroftbourne.co.uk), a lifestyle living community for the over 55’s in Bourne, will host a Christmas fundraising event for the Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB).

The Croft is inviting local people and residents to attend a ‘Tea for RNIB’ fundraising morning from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday 6 December. Attendees can enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of cake in return for a small donation to the charity.

The funds raised will help the RNIB provide practical and emotional support to those losing their sight, as well as helping the blind or partially sighted face the future with confidence.

The Tea for RNIB event will be held in a communal ‘manor house’ at The Croft that is regularly used by residents for activity and hobby groups.

Emma Long, regional community fundraising manager for the RNIB in the Midlands, said: “We are delighted to be holding this fundraising event at The Croft and we are grateful for the support of the development.

“Every day, 100 people are told that they are losing their sight. These events help to ensure the RNIB can continue to be there for everyone affected by sight loss.”

Karl Hick, Larkfleet CEO, said: “The RNIB does a huge amount to help blind and partially sighted people and The Croft is only too happy to support this event.”

The Croft development consists of 75 one, two and three-bedroom homes set around attractively landscaped gardens. The central ‘manor house’, which has been fully restored to its former glory and stylishly refurbished, is now used as a communal hub for residents.

During the Tea for RNIB event visitors can also take a tour of The Croft’s showhomes and see for themselves how the development has taken shape.
