You might know your Facebook from your Twitter, but are you using it effectively? Ever find you treat it as a bit of a bolt-on? The Communicators’ Network (TCN) is going to deliver a masterclass on the effective use of social media as part of its calendar of events for 2013.
Darren Fower of Shine and Ryan Hyman from Athene Communications will be hosting the event, aimed at helping you think creatively about how to use social media in your business. Darren will share how Shine have used social media channels to engage with and support people with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus in new and innovative ways, as well as how companies can reach new audiences, and make social media an integral part of their communications campaigns.
It will take place on Wednesday 6 March from 12-1.30pm at Shine Charity’s headquarters on Park Road, Peterborough.
Other events include a debate on healthcare – considering whether the NHS puts targets before patients, summer drinks – an evening of socialising and networking for communicators in Peterborough, a Crisis Management masterclass, and of course the annual and prestigious awards night in December.
The aim of The Communicators’ Network is to build and develop strong working relationships between those working in marketing, PR and journalism across Cambridgeshire. It is free to join for anyone working in marketing, PR and journalism in Cambridgeshire and is run by Peterborough-based PR and marketing specialists Athene Communications.
