The Business Network Peterborough launches on 4th March 2015

The Business Network, now celebrating its 22nd year in the UK, will launch its Peterborough organisation next month under the management of local host Simon Coy.

Senior business decision makers are being invited to the inaugural meeting of The Business Network Peterborough which will take place on Wednesday 4th March 2015 at the Holiday Inn Peterborough West in Thorpe Wood. The event is open to business leaders, entrepreneurs of growing companies and directors of professional services firms based in and around the Peterborough area.

Over 100 businesses are expected to be represented at the inaugural Peterborough event and demand for places is high. Simon Coy has enjoyed a successful career in financial services, and ran an active membership-based company in Bristol before taking up the management of the Business Network Peterborough. He has attracted over 200 Twitter followers @TheBNPeterborough in just three weeks.

“Peterborough is a confident city and I believe the economic climate is right to bring ambitious business owners together using The Business Network’s proven model,” says Simon. “I was drawn to the Network because of its relationship-building ethos and emphasis on business development through making connections. The most effective business is done between people who know and trust each other, and to achieve this, you have to put others’ interests first and explore how you might work together. The Business Network is all about building these relationships, and this approach has worked very well for Members across the UK.”

Simon’s role is to implement the structured, focussed and professional format which has generated tens of millions of pounds worth of business for members across the 16 associated Networks. He will organise and host the monthly seminars and lunches, keep members informed of business opportunities and, if requested, find new contacts in specific sectors.

The event at the Holiday Inn Peterborough West will start with an optional seminar at 10:00am ‘How to Become a More Confident and Effective Networker’ by expert Will Kintish who will give best practice tips on the art of networking.

Following the seminar, at 11:45am, guests will gather for a drinks reception and a two-course lunch, during and after which they will have a chance to speak to other delegates until the 2:00pm finish.

Tickets are priced at £36.50 per person with10% being donated to Little Miracles, the local charity for children with disabilities and life-limiting conditions.
