The Barnack Group was established 28 years ago and is made up of three companies; the sales and marketing of Confectionery which includes a charity franchise network, Storage and Logistics, and finally Property Development and Construction. We operate nationally with a focus on customer service and providing value for money. Our company prides itself on getting things done and having an excellent team of staff with a ‘can do, make it happen’ culture.

One of our achievements remains the move to our 9 acre facility in Orton Southgate, and the construction of a further 52,000 sq/ft which has allowed our Storage and Confectionery businesses to grow. This has allowed our Storage business to expand from 15,000 to 24,000 pallet spaces, and for the Confectionery franchise network to expand to 43 franchisees; at the same time providing an improved working environment for all teams.

Our goal for the next 12 months continues to be the growth of the Group in terms of turnover, staff employment and increased net profit.

• To continue to grow our charity box ‘With Thanks’ franchise to beyond 55 franchisees
• To continue to expand our Storage and Logistics business in line with its business plan, seeing turnover increase by 35% in the next 12 months.

We have been based in Peterborough for 28 years and during this time our business continues to grow with the city. Peterborough has excellent road and rail connections with a good pool of flexible labour. The city is developing a sense of direction and a ‘will do, can do’ attitude, assisting growth. The City Council and its departments are coordinating the services and infrastructure in the city, and leisure amenities are constantly improving. All of this is attracting businesses and families to Peterborough which in turn helps business.
