Staff and partners at accountancy firm Moore Thompson are celebrating the donation of more that £1,640 to the Teenage Cancer Trust raised at its annual charity quiz.
Business leaders and professionals from across the East of England gathered at the South Holland Centre in Spalding towards the end of 2018 to pitch their wits against one another.
The event, which has been held for several years, also included a raffle and was won by NatWest team from The Fens, which included Paul Barley, Keith Forrest, Paul Fox and David Ingamells.
However, its legacy was the large donation to the Teenage Cancer Trust, which helps hundreds of young people every year who are affected by cancer.
Craig Reid, a Partner at Moore Thompson and head of MT Charity Fundraisers, Moore Thompson’s in-house fundraising team, said: “We were delighted to raise so much for the Teenage Cancer Trust and the fantastic work that they do
“We had a wonderful evening hosting this quiz and the turnout was brilliant, so we would like to thank all of those who took part or donated prizes for the night.”
In a letter to the firm, fundraisers from the charity said: “We really value your donation because we’re the only UK charity providing specialised nursing and emotional support to young people with cancer.
“Your generosity will help to make a difference to the lives of young people living with cancer in the UK.”
The firm’s own in-house charitable organisation, The MT Charity Fundraisers, which hosted the quiz has raised more than £12,750 for causes across the region in the last four years.
