Solicitors serve up a successful food event

100 businesses in the food sector gathered in Peterborough for the region’s inaugural Food Business Breakfast.

The breakfast, organised by Roythornes Solicitors, was billed as a networking event for the food sector and attracted a wide cross section of delegates from the UK and Europe.

As well as providing a networking opportunity, the breakfast heard from Mark Reeve, Chairman of the Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough Enterprise Partnership, and Andy Fawkes, Managing Director of Masteroast Coffee – a Peterborough based company that accounts for one in seven cups of coffee consumed in the UK.

Talking about the event, Roythornes Marketing Manager Mark Dodds said:

“We were delighted with the attendance figures. When we launched the breakfast we wondered what the turnout would be, but to get 100 delegates exceeded all our expectations and shows how important the food sector is to the region’s economy.”
