Solicitors first to sign up to Feed Britain’s Future

Solicitors Roythornes has again become the first law firm in the UK to sign up to a national scheme aimed at helping people consider careers in the food sector.

The scheme, called Feeding Britain’s Future is being run by the Institute of Grocery and Distribution. It was launched to help young people find out more about the type of jobs available in the food sector, and has been backed by all the major supermarkets and food manufacturers.

This will be the third year in which the leading food and agriculture lawyers have taken part in the national scheme. Speaking about the involvement of the firm Mark Dodds Marketing Manager said:

“We have a large number of food clients and wanted to again help the sector by becoming part of the scheme. One of the aims of Feeding Britain’s Future is to show people how many different careers there are within the industry including in our case, the law.”

Roythornes will be running a workshop in September in conjunction with the British Growers Association and Pelican HR. It will look at the careers available in the sector as well as give practical advice on CV writing and interview skills.
