Solicitors Feed Britain’s Future

Monday morning saw local law firm Roythornes solicitors the firm taking part in the Feeding Britain’s Future scheme. The scheme, run by the IGD, one of the largest food trade bodies in the UK, intends to showcase to young people the types of careers that are available in the food sector.

In a full morning a group of 16-24 year old job seekers were first told about how Roythornes work with the food industry followed by a session by Pelican PR on a career in food PR.

This was followed by a CV and interview skills workshop, running through a series of hints and tips for CV writing and interviews.

Mark Dodds of Roythornes said:

“Feeding Britain’s Future is a great scheme to highlight the importance of the food sector to the region and the very wide range of careers available within in. We were the only law firm involved in the UK and this not only shows how seriously we take our food sector work, but also how keen we are to encourage school leavers to see it as a possible career move.”
