Solicitors Feed Britain’s Future

Leading food lawyers Roythornes have signed up to a national campaign which aims to help young people consider a career in the food sector.

Feeding Britain’s Future is a programme run by the food industry.  It involves all of the UK’s major retailers and food manufacturers in an effort to help young unemployed people gain their first job in the sector.

Roythornes, which has many food business clients across the UK is the only lawyer in the UK to sign up for the scheme, for the second year in a row.

Speaking about the programme, Marketing Manager Mark Dodds said:

“Feeding Britain’s Future is a valuable programme for the sector and for young people who have the opportunity to hear first-hand what it’s like to work in such an important part of the UK economy.”

The Roythornes session will focus on how food interacts with the law.  Also speaking will be Pelican PR on public relations for food companies and Pelican HR who will cover CV and interview skills.  The final speaker will be from the British Growers Association who will talk about other career opportunities in the fresh produce sector.

Mark continued:

“The local Job Centre is now hard at work recruiting up to 15 people to attend and we are looking forward to another great event. We’re delighted to be involved –  the food sector plays a massive part in the region’s economy and we’re proud to be supporting it in this way.”
