Solicitors ‘cool’ move into Frozen Food

Leading Food solicitor Roythornes has joined the British Frozen Food Federation (BFFF) in a move which spearheads their drive further down the food chain.

The Peterborough based firm already has a very strong reputation in agriculture and fresh produce and they see the move into frozen food as a natural step in their ambitious growth plans.

Speaking about the move, Peter Bennett, who heads up their food team said:

“We were looking for a sector closely allied to the work we do now where there is real opportunity and having undertaken research, narrowed it down to frozen food – much of what is frozen is fresh produce such as vegetables and vegetable products, so we already understand many of the issues faced by the industry.”

Brian Young, director General of the BFFF said:

“We are delighted to welcome Roythornes on board with the Federation – they have a first class reputation and I am sure our members will welcome their knowledge.”

Peter went on to say that the firm will be offering a range of services to the sector:

“Our commercial team has extensive experience of factors affecting the food industry including production, warehousing and distribution, so frozen food is a great fit with our plans.”

The BFFF is the UK’s frozen food trade association with over 300 members covering the complete cold chain of supply. The total frozen food market is now worth around £7.5 Billion in both retail and foodservice.
