Specialist food industry lawyers from a leading regional law firm were treated to a royal reception last week.

Representatives from Roythornes Solicitors, one of Peterborough’s legal heavyweights, met the Princess Royal as part of their sponsorship of the City Food Lecture.  This prestigious event takes place annually at the Guildhall in London and is one of the key dates in the food sector calendar.  It attracts over 700 food industry leaders who attend to hear a talk on key issues, given this year by Dave Lewis, Chief Executive Officer of Tesco who covered supplier relationships and sustainability.

Each year the Princess Royal, who has close connections with the Worshipful Companies who organise the Lecture, closes the evening with a summary of the points raised before guests mingle during a networking buffet supper.

Speaking about the event, head of Roythornes Food team Peter Cusick said:
