Cross Keys Homes is pleased to have been able to support partner organisations, under the umbrella of the Safer Peterborough Partnership, in providing a venue to help the development and training of ex-offenders, to support a programme that has reduced reoffending by 9%.
Cross Keys Homes’ community work focuses on creating opportunities to change lives by investing in people, places and businesses. Through partnership working with The One Service and TTG Training, Cross Keys Homes provided premises for a workshop, as well as accommodation to give ex-offenders a second chance with training and support to get into work and housing.
Thanks to all local partners, a recent independent evaluation has shown that this support successfully reduced reoffending of short-sentenced offenders by 9% in Peterborough, which exceeds the target of 7.5% set by the Ministry of Justice.
Claire Higgins, Cross Keys Homes’ Chief Executive and chair of the Safer Peterborough Partnership said: “We are committed to supporting people back into work, and providing a lasting difference to the communities that we serve. Thanks to great partnership work and the commitment of many local organisations involved, we have been able to offer our support to help make a positive difference to the lives of ex-offenders”.
