The continuing green achievements from city accountancy firm Rawlinsons’ proactive Green Team were recognised at the recent Investors in the Environment (iiE) awards ceremony where the firm received the ‘Best Green Champion – Small Business’ award along with the ‘Green Accreditation’, the highest level of certification awarded by iiE.
The team, led by partner Tracey Richardson and managed by Caroline Wooding and Gemma Mason, were delighted to receive both awards which secured Rawlinsons reputation as being a green leader in the city’s business community. Achievements have included reducing electricity by 30%, reducing landfill waste by 80%, introducing branded Jute bags for our staff and clients to use and reuse and having proactive internal green champions who implement innovative concepts to encourage the firm’s CSR and green activity.
Tracey Richardson, Rawlinsons Partner said: “We are thrilled to receive the recognition for our green efforts. All businesses have their part to play in today’s society to ensure that we create a sustainable and healthy environment for today and for the future.”
Rawlinsons will continue to dedicate time to developing ideas to continue to reduce its carbon footprint even further and is grateful for the support and advice received from the Peterborough Environment City Trust who manage the Investors in Environment scheme.
