Rawlinsons annual charity conference date confirmed

City accountancy firm Rawlinsons is again hosting the highly successful annual Charity Conference at Kingsgate Conference Centre in Peterborough on June 13.

This popular, free full-day event – now in its sixth year – is one of the biggest in the region with over 120 delegates attending each year.

One delegate from last year’s event commented: “I always come away with useful nuggets of information I can utilise in my charity.”

All feedback forms rated the overall content as excellent or good, and 100% would recommend the conference to others.

This year’s event features a series of speakers and breakout sessions, specifically designed to help and support charities of all shapes and sizes.   In addition to general updates regarding the Charity Commission and current tax issues, topics this year include:

  • Telling your charity’s story
  • Fundraising solutions
  • The Big Lottery Fund
  • Motivating volunteers
  • IT security and using technology
  • Future proofing your finance function

“The conference agenda is suitable for employees and trustees of charities as well as new and potential trustees. In addition to the formal content, the opportunity to meet and learn from each other, is always appreciated.” said Rawlinsons’ partner Mark Jackson.

“Peterborough has a thriving charity sector from small community based groups to the big household names – which is one of the reasons this annual event is always so well supported,” he added.

The event is free to charities (£50 + VAT to others) and registration for the event will commence at 9am, with the presentations taking place between 9.30am and 4pm, with a buffet lunch provided to allow for further discussion and networking.
