Rawlinsons acquires Cambridge accountancy firm

PETERBOROUGH accountancy firm Rawlinsons has acquired Cambridge-based practice Resolve Business Solutions as part of its strategic growth plans.

Resolve also has a London presence too.  The firm has been providing local companies and individuals with accounting, tax, payroll, bookkeeping and business consultancy services for 12 years.

Rawlinsons  – one of the city’s longest established accountancy firms, has six partners and 60 staff.  They will be able to introduce a range of new services not currently delivered by Resolve, including pensions and investment advice, audit, probate and wills.

All existing Resolve staff will continue to serve the current client base which is spread across the county, with Rawlinsons providing additional support.

“We are delighted with this acquisition and believe that we will be able to enhance the services for existing Resolve clients and it also provides us with a stronger presence in both the Cambridge and London markets,” said Rawlinsons managing partner Colin Crowley.

“It’s a great team at Resolve and we are excited to be working with them to help drive the business forward.  Principal Paul Reid will stay on board for a while to help ensure a smooth and seamless transition,” he added.

Rawlinsons’ partners Tracey Richardson and Julie Bloodworth will oversee the Resolve business integration.

“I have enjoyed 12 fantastic years running Resolve but feel that it is time for others to take the business forward and maximise the company’s full growth potential,” said Paul.

“I have worked with Rawlinsons for a couple of years on specific projects and believe they will be the perfect fit for Resolve and our clients,” he added.
