Places snapped up quickly for free charities conference

Dozens of charities are set to be represented at the city’s second conference targeted at the not-for-profit sector.

Nearly 100 delegates have already secured their place at the day-long event being hosted by leading city accountants Rawlinsons but there is room for more.

The conference, free to delegates, is aimed at charity trustees, managers and those who work closely with charities. There is a range of high profile speakers presenting, facilitating discussions and hosting workshops.

Attention will be focused on what charities can do to ensure they don’t lose out financially in these austere times. Speakers include representatives from The Big Lottery Fund, Peterborough City Council, DIAL Peterborough, Greenwoods Solicitors, HSBC, Sage and Aspire Property Group.

Rawlinsons partner Mark Jackson will also be presenting at the event. The firm, based in Lincoln Road, Peterborough works with dozens of charities, both local and nationally affiliated branches, placing it perfectly to deliver a carefully targeted event.

“We have been delighted with the response so far,” said Mark. “Our intention is to give charities as much help and information as possible to enable them to put in place strategies to build for the future.

“As we did last year, we have secured some high profile speakers both in the sector and from the local area so specific challenges can be discussed.”

To book your place at the conference on Tuesday, June 12 at KingsGate Conference Centre, Parnwell, Peterborough, please contact Carolyn Lake at Rawlinsons on 01733 568321 or email Carolyn.lake@rawlinsons.co.uk
