The longest running independent Youth Club Choir in the City is 20 years old in February. Throughout this academic year we will be running a number of Community Music Projects aimed at bringing together the young people of our City to promote enjoyment in choral singing and provide a stage on which they can demonstrate the talents Peterborough is nurturing.
As an organisation we meet every Saturday, during the school year, at East Community Centre, Padholme Road, PE1 5EN to rehearse and record music. Two choirs are run:
- Junior Choir (7yrs to 13yrs) – 09:00 to 10:30
- Senior Choir (13yrs to 21yrs) – 09:30 to 11:30
New members are always welcome, we don’t audition, just come and join the fun!!
The end of year Big Sing Concert will be held at KingsGate Conference Centre, once more, and will again see over 200 young people performing together.
The Big Sing in May was recognised by the Peterborough Music Partnership and is an excellent opportunity for local business sponsorship; with our Website, Facebook and Twitter feeds, programme advertising and other media adverts, we provide a great way to reach a wider audience for your business marketing.
