Earlier this month, Hegarty proudly welcomed local businesses to The Bull Hotel for the launch of the Peterborough Business Network (PBN), part of Your Business Network (YBN).
The event marked the beginning of a new chapter for YBN, Hegarty’s initiative designed to bring together local business communities across the region. Through both the Peterborough and Rutland networks, the events create opportunities for professionals to connect, share ideas and build lasting relationships in a supportive environment.
PBN, delivered in partnership with Dominic McMullan of The Peterborough Advertising and Marketing Company, brings together a wide range of businesses from across the city and surrounding areas.
A Strong Start for the Peterborough Network
The launch event was well attended, with a great mix of local businesses coming together to network and exchange ideas.
The evening featured two engaging speakers. Pep Cipriano from Peterborough Positive opened with a “weather report” on the local business landscape, offering a positive and informed outlook for the city.
This was followed by Simon White of SW Business Development, who delivered a practical and thought-provoking session focused on improving sales performance and developing effective commercial habits. Drawing on years of experience working with sales teams, Simon shared actionable insights that attendees could take back and apply in their own organisations.
The feedback following the event has been extremely positive, with many attendees commenting on the welcoming atmosphere, the value of the insights shared, and the opportunity to connect with other local professionals.
Part of a Growing Network
PBN builds on the success of the Rutland Business Network (RBN), which is run in partnership with Oliver Hemsley of Stone Soup Solutions and held at Rutland Hall Hotel.
Together, these events sit under the YBN umbrella, creating a wider community of businesses who can benefit from shared knowledge, collaboration and new connections across different locations.
With a brand-new website coming soon, YBN will better serve its loyal members through an online directory, company news sharing area, and other brand promoting features.
