Former footballer and choreographer Ricky Dent (31) from Stamford has joined the team as account manager, and Sheffield University events management graduate Hayley Kemp (23) has taken on a junior account manager role at the venue.

People person Ricky, who spent two years working at a local shopping TV channel as a presenter, has some five years experience in the events industry.

“I thoroughly enjoy meeting people, interacting with the public and particularly working alongside event organisers through the journey of planning to delivering their event,” he said.

Meanwhile, a university degree and two years working as a wedding planner has set Peterborough-based Hayley in good stead for a role she is already relishing.

Hayley, whose focus will be weddings, proms, Christmas corporate parties, awards ceremonies and everything in between, said: “I love being involved with any kind of event which has a real personal meaning to the organiser – whether a wedding or special party.”

Peterborough Arena head of sales and customer services, Charlie Lewis, said: “We are thrilled to have Ricky and Hayley on board. Not only do they have a fantastic skills set and background, but they are full of enthusiasm – which makes them perfect for our venue, particularly in our continued efforts to put the city on the map.”
