Opportunities for Local installation Companies

Peterborough City Council has secured £4m of Government ‘Green Deal Communities’ funding to subsidise energy efficiency home improvements to a large number of homes around the city centre. When combined with funding secured under the Energy Company Obligation and customer Green Deal Plans, the total comes to more than £13 million. PCC will shortly launch a major scheme providing grants for energy efficiency measures such as Solid Wall Insulation, replacement boilers, replacement double glazing, cavity wall insulation and loft insulation.

Having appointed two primary contractors, the council is inviting suitable local tradespeople, installers and companies to put themselves forward as sub-contractors in the roll-out of this programme.

The council are particularly looking for:

  • External Wall Insulation Installers with suitable PAS 2030 installation accreditations
  • Scaffolding companies with TG20 / CISRS accreditation
  • Gas Installers with Gas Safe accreditation
  • UPVc Windows installers/fabricators – FENSA approved or equivalent
  • Internal Wall Insulation installer (dryliners/plasterers) with suitable PAS 2030 installation accreditations
  • Electricians – NICEIC or equivalent

On the 22nd September at the Town Hall, the council’s project team and representatives from the primary contractors will be holding a Meet the Buyer event.  If you would like to find out if you or your company could get involved in the programme, please come along anytime between 9am and 12pm and introduce yourself.  There will be a short presentation about the programme at 11am.

Light refreshments will be provided.
