One of the East of England’s top independent accountancy firms, Moore Thompson, is making significant changes to its management team at the start of 2022 as it looks to its future.
From 1 January, the firm has appointed two new Partners, Emma Taylor-Bunting and Emma Wilson, as it looks to widen the specialisms offered by its senior team and strengthen its presence locally.
Emma Taylor-Bunting has worked within the tax team at Moore Thompson for several years and has quickly developed a reputation for her outstanding, specialised knowledge that is in high demand amongst clients.
Within her new role, she will take on the task of developing the firm’s tax hub. This new and exciting advisory tax function will hone in on Emma’s expertise in corporate and personal taxation to deliver an unrivalled service within the region for business owners.
The firm has seen strong growth across its practice area, but nowhere more so than in its Market Deeping office.
To bolster its service offering in the town and surrounding area, Emma Wilson will become a General Practice Partner to support the demand for Moore Thompson’s support and advice.
Alongside its Partner promotions, Moore Thompson will also see Hannah Butcher and Phil Bryan take on the role of Associates.
Phil and Hannah will be managing large client portfolios in their new positions and providing further invaluable input to the management of the firm.
Both of them have years of loyal and skilful service behind them, as well as a demonstrated ability to work hard and satisfy the needs of clients.
Mark Hildred, Moore Thompson’s Managing Partner, said: “All of these appointments are the result of hard work, loyalty and skill. As we look to our future, we want to ensure that our firm has the right people and skills to take it forward and deliver the services our clients expect.
“As someone who has spent so long working with these talented colleagues, it is great to see them taking up the roles they have worked tirelessly towards.
“We hope that this commitment to our team reaffirms our policy of focusing on internal development and promotion to fill these important positions.”
As well as a range of promotions with the firm, the start of the New Year marks the end of a career for one of the firm’s longest-standing partners, David Turpin.
He has played an instrumental role in the development of the firm’s services and client base in Wisbech.
Mark added that his expertise and passion would be missed and thanked him for his long years of advice and support.
