METRIX MARKETING BRINGS SOCIAL MEDIA INTO FOCUS AT REGIONAL BUSINESS EXHIBITION

Peterborough-based marketing communications company Metrix Marketing (www.metrixmarketing.co.uk) will be exhibiting at the Chamber of Commerce Business Focus (www.businessfocus.uk.net) event in October.

Peterborough’s premier business event will take place at the Peterborough Arena at The Showground on Wednesday 16 October.

Metrix will be on hand to help delegates navigate the social media maze and focus their digital marketing strategies where they matter.

Metrix managing director Mike Holland said: “We understand when clients say they’re ‘not sure about social media’ or that they don’t know how to start or what the benefits are. We also understand the potential impact it can have on their business.

“There’s a huge buzz around social media marketing but it’s coupled with a lot of fuzz. We want to demonstrate to Business Focus visitors that including social media in their overall marketing strategies can spread their message – whatever that may be – further and faster than with traditional marketing alone.”

Staff from Metrix Marketing will be on hand to offer advice to visitors on the ‘big three’ social media platforms – Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn – and how they can use them to promote their businesses.

The social media facts speak for themselves: Two new users join LinkedIn every second; nearly one in every five minutes spent online is on social networking sites; more than 12 new Twitter accounts are registered every second; 34 per cent of marketers have generated leads using Twitter and 20 per cent have closed deals using Twitter; there are 340 million Tweets per day.
