Mike Holland – managing director of Peterborough-based marketing communications company Metrix Marketing (www.metrixmarketing.co.uk) – is to speak at an Institute of Directors lunch in Peterborough in July.
Mike will be talking to local company bosses about the huge changes in marketing communications which have been brought about by the internet and, in particular, by social media.
Previewing his presentation he said: “Changing technology has changed the ‘balance of power’ between buyers and sellers. Plans for marketing communications need to take account of those changes.
“However, the fundamentals of good marketing communications have not changed at all. I will therefore be drawing attention not only to what is different but also to what is the same since I last spoke to a local Institute of Directors meeting on this topic more than ten years ago.”
The lunch is being held at The Beehive in Peterborough on Wednesday 10 July starting at 12:30. Non-members of the Institute of Directors are welcome to attend at a cost of £20 – contact Yvette Chivers on 0845 53 381 53 or email admin.cambridgeshire@iod.net.
