Around 30 businesses were given a glimpse into the future of online marketing at a business breakfast seminar hosted by Peterborough pr and marketing agency Media Matters.
The bootcamp gave businesses, big and small from the Greater Peterborough area, an overview of the newest online marketing platforms available and suggestions on the most effective way to utilise them.
Media Matters’ marketing director Karen McNulty discussed the importance of ‘Facebook Places’ for location-based businesses and its relevance for the future; what’s next on the social media scene for business in the form of Google+; and the benefits of targeting customers with smartphones through the use of QR codes.
The seminar created much debate and feedback was so positive, the agency has now set a date for a similar event next year – February 9.
“Customers are demanding instant information and it is vital that businesses stay one step ahead,” said Karen. “As a pr and marketing agency that’s one of the areas we help our clients with – the seminar was our opportunity to share that knowledge with a wider audience.
“We were delighted with the response and are now looking forward to updating delegates with more online marketing trends to watch at the next bootcamp in the new year.”
