Looking for advice on Intellectual Property matters?

The Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA) has opened a Peterborough based clinic, offering unrepresented individuals seeking basic advice on intellectual property matters the opportunity for a free one-hour confidential consolation with a Chartered Patent Attorney.

All businesses have intellectual property (IP), regardless of their size or sector. This could be the name of your business, or copyright, designs, patents and trademarks. Your IP is likely to be a valuable asset so securing and protecting it could be essential to your business’ future success.

Your IP can, amongst other things:
• protect your R&D investments
• set your business apart from competitors
• be sold or licensed, providing an important revenue stream
• offer customers something new and different
• form an essential part of your marketing or branding

As it is vital to understand your rights in relation to IP and how the law can help you, the CIPA Peterborough clinic covers any business related IP issue, specialty patent applications, trademark and design registrations and basic IP contracts and transactions.

Organised by Caterpillar UK Ltd, the clinic is hosted by city accountancy firm Rawlinsons on the second Monday of the month between 10am and 12pm. To book your appointment contact Joanna Bacon on 01733 568321 or by email at joanna.bacon@rawlinsons.co.uk
