Law firm Boost for St Barnabas

Leading law firm Roythornes has announced that its Charity of The Year will be St Barnabas Hospice.

The top 150 law firm will now focus their fundraising efforts with the help of the charity and raise some much-needed funds to help support the brilliant work they undertake in the region.  St Barnabas Hospice is the leading charity providing palliative and end-of-life care to adults living with a life-limiting or terminal illness.

Speaking about the announcement, Managing Director of Roythornes Vember Mortlock said:

“We very much believe in supporting the community and giving something back, and each year we ask the staff across the firm to nominate and vote for our Charity of The Year – it’s important that it’s a firm wide decision.  We were delighted that St Barnabas was chosen for 2023/24.  It’s a charity that does so much good work in the region and in fact has helped relatives and friends of many of our locally employed staff over the years.

We’ve been in the region for 90 years next year and it’s great to support a charity that also plays such an important role in the community.”

Caroline Swindin, Head of Fundraising & Lottery of the charity said:

“It’s such good news when a business chooses us as their Charity of The Year and having Roythornes on board is a great boost to help us raise awareness of our diverse range of care and support and our fundraising efforts.    We have many valued supporters, but we always need more help as the pressures on the services we provide are constantly increasing. We’re looking forward to an exciting year working together with Roythornes.”
