Bourne-based housing and development group Larkfleet Homes has recruited Alex Powell to the new post of construction director. In this role, Alex will focus on assisting Larkfleet’s board with the company’s wide-ranging expansion plans. He will take charge of all construction activity for Larkfleet Homes and sister company Allison Homes, both part of The Larkfleet Group of Companies.

Alex has over 32 years’ experience in the residential construction sector having held senior positions with major PLC developers.

Adrian Evans, group managing director at Larkfleet said: “Alex joins us at an exciting time when we are expanding rapidly and taking the company in new directions. He will work closely with the rest of the team to offer his expertise as Larkfleet continues to grow.”

Alex commented: “I am extremely pleased to have been offered the opportunity to use my experience with other PLC residential developers to help take Larkfleet and Allison Home to the next level, whilst focusing on improving our product and customer service.

“I’m very committed to expanding the Larkfleet training academy to provide the younger generation and school leavers the opportunity of learning a trade and to train young managers of the future to develop management skills and lead by example.”

Alex lives in Bourne with his two teenage daughters and is a serving member of the Chartered Institute of Building and member of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management.
