The Croft (www.thecroftbourne.co.uk), an exclusive retirement community in Bourne developed by Larkfleet Homes (www.larkfleethomes.co.uk) and Keystone Developments (www.keystonedevelopments.co.uk) for those aged 55 years and over, will host a week-long programme of hobby classes on site for potential homebuyers.
The events will take place from 15 to 20 October and aim to promote the strong community ethos of the development. Residents at The Croft and anyone interested in purchasing an age-exclusive property – as well as family members assisting in the search – are welcome to take part completely free of charge.
Flower arranging, dance and art classes, as well as wine and cheese tasting and a history talk about Bourne will be held during the activity week. There is a class scheduled for every day of the week (Monday to Friday) and each will last approximately one hour.
To ensure no one misses out, Larkfleet is repeating many of the classes held during the week on Saturday 20 October.
As part of The Croft development, an existing manor house located on site has been restored to its former glory and will act as the ‘hub’ of the retirement community. The manor house will also hold the daily classes as part of Larkfleet’s activity week in October.
A full programme of the hobby classes and an online booking form can be found on The Croft website (www.thecroftbourne.co.uk). Simply click on the ‘events’ tab or the ‘To The Manor Bourne’ image on the website homepage to access the booking form. Alternatively, please call The Croft sales office on 01778 426995 for more information and to book a place for any of the classes.
The Croft consists of 68 one and two-bedroom bungalows and two and three-bedroom chalets arranged around attractively landscaped courtyards. The renovated manor house also has a two-bedroom apartment available to homebuyers.
The Croft is being marketed as not only a place to live but as a community of like-minded people who enjoy a lifestyle full of possibilities. Homeowners at The Croft will be able to live the life they want to lead, in a secure and caring environment.
As The Croft is right in the centre of Bourne, many local amenities including a local supermarket, a doctor’s surgery and a bus stop are only a short walk away, as are many shops and restaurants.
With so many excellent facilities in the area, Larkfleet and Keystone are keen to encourage residents at The Croft to pursue hobbies and enjoy community living by setting up their own groups and societies. The renovated manor house provides an ideal base for this as the week of hobby classes planned for 15-20 October will demonstrate.
Karl Hick, managing director of Larkfleet Homes, said: “We are very excited about the week of activities planned at The Croft for residents and potential homebuyers. The variety of hobby classes on offer during this week will hopefully show the potential The Croft has for enjoyable community living that allows residents to embrace their interests and hobbies.
“Larkfleet’s week of hobby classes is a great opportunity for potential homebuyers at The Croft to get a feel for the development and the benefits it can offer its community.”
