Katie Strange Recruitment celebrates its 2 year anniversary
Katie Strange Recruitment celebrates its 2 year anniversary

Time flies! I can’t believe that KSR has been up and running for 2 years. They say that time passes quicker as you get older, it definitely does!

Am I pleased that I’ve done it? Definitely!

Do I enjoy it? Yes!

You see a lot of articles about starting your own business, should I do it? The benefits of being your own boss? Step by step guidelines?!

In truth, I think it all comes down to the individual. I am by no means a new business expert but I am good at what I do and I do it with passion, integrity and honesty. As long as you work hard and you believe in what you do then I believe it can be a success.

I have loved the last 2 years, it certainly has its ups and downs but so does any job. I have learnt a huge amount about myself and I am sure that there is much more to learn!

Do I miss working in a team?

Yes! But lucky for me, being a Recruitment Consultant is probably one of the most sociable jobs out there. I meet new people every week and spend half my day chatting away on the phone. You definitely miss the office natter, the weekend plans and the new diet regimes, but, it does allow me to invest more time in potential applicants and the clients that I work with.

Biggest achievement?

Hitting the 2 year mark! There is a long way to go and I can’t wait for the years ahead but I am very proud of getting to this point. I know that there will be plenty more challenges ahead but sometimes you have to stop and reflect on what you have achieved!

Future plans?

More of the same! I am adamant on providing the very best service to my clients and I will continue to do so. I have no major plans to recruit a team of 10 staff and join the busy Peterborough market. I want to offer a unique service, I want to work in partnership with a handful of companies that I truly believe in and I want to be able to offer them the best possible service.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of the local businesses that I work with for their continued support. Thanks to my old team and boss who taught me loads! And thanks to anyone who has offered words of support and advice along the way!

Here’s to the next 2 years!!
