Opportunity Peterborough [OP] is the city’s economic development company. Our core responsibilities include engaging with local companies to support growth and development, marketing Peterborough, attracting inward investment and leading the city’s skills agenda to ensure our current and future talent pool is work-ready. We also deliver a number of specialist projects to boost the local economy, and recently helped Peterborough become a World Smart City.
OP is a well-respected organisation that sits in the space between the public and private sectors, with a clear focus on economic growth. We are consistently looking for new opportunities for funding and new business leads to maintain and grow the company, and our operational systems need to maximise those opportunites.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To support the CEO by heading up all of the company’s business operations: ensuring the company runs smoothly, efficiently, and effectively, with due accountability to the board and our partners.
