NMF are seeking to appoint a part-time Fundraising and communications officer to support the CEO in raising revenue and capital appeal funding to support the short- and medium-term financial objectives of the charity.  

Location: Peterborough / Home Based

The successful candidate will have the experience in communications and personal enthusiasm to translate financial objectives into operational plans and by researching and developing Trust, Corporate, Community, Events, and Legacy funding opportunities, including the preparation of applications.

Ness M Care Foundation (NMF) is charity based in the UK, dedicated to supporting activities that will improve the quality of life for people cared for at home and their carers. NMF also supports families in Zimbabwe with care training. We provide information and advice, run services in our local communities and campaign so that adults at risk and those with complex health conditions receive the support they can. 

 

The Main Duties will be:  

  • To research and develop Trust, Corporate, Community, Events, and Legacy funding opportunities, including the preparation of applications 
  • Contact potential donors 
  • Create articles to raise NMF’s media profile 
  • To run NMF Social Media platforms – Develop and maintain current social media strategy including Facebook, Twitter, Linked in and Instagram. 
  • Website – Regularly maintain and Update NMF website. 
  • To Manage Communications and Marketing Volunteers – Continually recruit more to support with all communications and marketing work. 
  • Event planning – manageand promote fundraising events  

Essential Skills and Experience: 

  • Minimum 12 months experience working as a charity fundraiser
  • Great communication skills, with a particular emphasis on negotiating, influencing and motivating 
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills 
  • Team player 
  • Good time-management skills 
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Positive, friendly and ethical minded fundraiser
  • Willingness and ability to be on call out of hours, to accommodate service users 
  • Developed social media skills are a must 
  • Good knowledge of safeguarding procedures
