Barnack Estates UK Ltd is a fast growing property, construction and development company based in Orton Southgate, Peterborough. We currently have a vacancy to assist in our Finance Department within an established team. Experience is required but additional training will be given.

JOB DESCRIPTION:              Financial Accounts Support

HOURS OF WORK:               Flexible. Target 37.5 hours per week

SALARY:                                Negotiable depending on experience.

BARNACK ESTATES UK LIMITED

A fast-growing property construction and development company based in Orton Southgate; Peterborough have a vacancy to assist with our Finance Department within an established team.  Experience is required but training will be given.

1. KEY RESPONSIBILTIES
   
  To work within a small team to provide general financial support to the Financial team.
   
2. KEY OBJECTIVES
   
a) To maintain high standards of accuracy, support, be motivated, can use your own initiative and be reliable to the financial team.
b) To be able to work under pressure, have outstanding communication skills, be able to prioritise workloads, manage varied tasks and to be flexible.
   
3. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
   
a) To be part of the company’s overall team, this includes working closely with our Property Department and our Financial Accounts Department.
b) To be able to match invoices and delivery notes at a high volume.
c) To be able to make data entry on to Sage and a package called Construct which is a Property Management system (with training).
d) To complete word processing, letters, timelines, task lists etc..
e) To be able to carry out electronic and hard copy filing, manage the post, carry out scanning and copying, make up files.
f) To be able to use Excel by completing spreadsheets along with Construct.
g) To have a knowledge of CIS would be helpful. (Training will be given).
h) To be able to answer phones, take messages confidently and competently.
i) To attend any agreed training to help develop skills.
j) To carry out any general tasks within the office.
k) To have a good understand on cash books, bank reconciliations, purchase ledger, sales Ledger invoicing, nominal ledger etc.

 

4. EXPERIENCE
   
  Ideally with financial experience, organised and comfortable working in a team.  Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and word.  Experience of Sage/Construct would be helpful, but training would be given.
