POSITION: Business Growth Executive

SALARY: £22,000-£25,000 p.a. dependent on experience

CONTRACT TERM: Full time, 6 month contract initially

REPORTING TO: Inward Investment and Business Growth Manager

To work with colleagues across the Opportunity Peterborough team, and within partner organisations, to help drive business growth across the city using your excellent communication and relationship management skills.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in B2B sales, marketing, or economic development to join a team making a positive impact for local communities.


  • Providing support to small businesses looking for assistance with funding, new premises, business plan development etc.
  • Developing promotional material to help attract new businesses to Peterborough.
  • Carrying out research into Peterborough’s businesses and the local economy.
  • Keeping the CRM system updated.
  • Supporting delivery of Opportunity Peterborough’s Bondholder Network.
  • Management of our social media activity.
  • Supporting the organisation and delivery of events.


  • Experience of working in a customer facing B2B environment.
  • Bright, enthusiastic, and willing to learn.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Outgoing, proactive, and creative.
  • Strong sense of initiative and the responsibility to deliver.
