Growth and expansion for business consultancy WLP

Regional business consultancy WLP is expanding its team of consultants to meet increasing demand for the company’s services following a successful year of growth. The company is on track to record turnover growth of 50% compared to the last financial year.

Local clients include Opportunity Peterborough, the company responsible for delivering economic growth to the city of Peterborough, and South Kesteven District Council.

Two new associates have recently joined the company, taking the number of consultants to 13. Another two dynamic and accomplished individuals are now sought to support further expansion plans.

Steve Palmer, director at WLP, said: “Over the past year we have seen significant increased demand from our clients for particular services, notably business planning, process improvement and the development of IT strategy. We also feel the company’s growth reflects a degree of confidence returning to the business community as a whole, with people starting to look positively to the future and coming to us to help them achieve their goals in a rapidly changing business environment.

“Our growth areas include SMEs, the food industry, health and social care. With our expanding team and growing reputation we are well-equipped to meet our ambitious growth targets for the next three years and look forward to expanding the team at this exciting time for the company.”

Peterborough based Paul Fieldhouse, consultant at WLP, said: “We offer a broad portfolio of services, from how to run a ‘lean’ business with minimal resources, to the implementation of good quality management systems. Each of our consultants has a unique skillset we can draw on, so we can match the most appropriate consultants to our clients based on their particular needs, ensuring that clients benefit from specialist expertise.”

The company’s growth has also led to a marketing apprentice being taken on and the launch of a new website on 18th November, which offers a more comprehensive and effective platform for WLP to market itself and engage with its audiences.

WLP has a track record of transforming businesses for over 25 years. Its administrative hub is near Norwich, with consultants based across East Anglia and the East Midlands. The company specialises in the growth and improvement of small and medium-sized businesses and public sector organisations, primarily in East Anglia and the East Midlands, but also throughout the UK. WLP’s clients range from household names such as British Sugar, public sector organisations such as Norwich Clinical Commissioning Group, to sector specialists such as Roxhill, and not-for-profit organisations such as Cambridge-based The Company of Biologists.
