The General & Medical Group have joined a range of industry bodies and brokers by signing up to the Inclusivity Pledge, which has been designed to address and change unevolved behaviours in the insurance sector.
Attracting a mass of support the industry-wide campaign has been designed to stand up to discrimination, creating a more inclusive working environment and addressing all forms of potential discrimination. Here at General & Medical we understand the importance of that.
The pledge sets out a clear framework of desired behaviours for both leaders and their employees and it also looks at clear policies and procedures for reporting any inappropriate or discriminatory behaviour too.
Managing Director at General & Medical, David Wildman said: “We are very proud to be a founding signature to the pledge, a public disclosure of the work/life ethic which has been embedded in our Group culture for many years. We actively encourage the very best from our staff and will continue to work closely with them to ensure they feel valued.”
Other founding signatories include trade bodies the British Insurance Brokers’ Association, the Association of British Insurers and the Lloyds’s Market Association.
