Homebuyers that reserve a Larkfleet Homes (www.larkfleethomes.co.uk) property on 14 February – or any time in the following week – will be given a special opportunity to personalise their new home as a one-off Valentine’s gift from the housebuilder.

For each house reserved during Valentine’s week, Larkfleet will give buyers a cheque to the value of £1,400 to spend in its ‘Just for You’ centre. Homebuyers can then enjoy adding that ‘personal touch’ to their quality new home.

Whether Larkfleet customers are looking for alternative taps, extra sockets, fireplaces, carpets, curtains, light fittings or even conservatories, the company’s ‘Just for You’ centre could provide these extras.

Larkfleet could also help homebuyers cut the cost of home purchase as it currently offers the government’s NewBuy and FirstBuy schemes on some of its developments.

NewBuy is a government-backed ‘mortgage indemnity’ scheme that aims to help people with smaller deposits buy a new-build home. NewBuy allows homebuyers to get a mortgage with a deposit of as little as five per cent of the purchase price. The lenders participating in the scheme will then provide a mortgage of up to 95 per cent of the purchase price if homebuyers meet their qualifying criteria.

FirstBuy is a ‘shared equity’ arrangement where the government and the builder provide a loan (interest free for five years) to cover up to 20 per cent of the purchase price. Homebuyers then have to contribute a deposit of just 5 per cent.
