Faith workshops at the Museum!

For an hour and a half on Monday and Wednesday afternoon this week, Peterborough Museum will be holding faith workshops and they ask you to join…
Suitable for all, these workshops include art-making, meditation and prayers for world peace. Younger children can get involved in the craft-making, which will be centred on the bodhi tree made from recycled materials. A fresh take on the wishing well, attendees can write messages on a leaf provided in the hope that this wish-giving tree will fulfil their dreams. Whether a hope for the environment or a personal message, come along and test this tree’s wish-giving powers!
For others, a guided meditation on the environment is on offer. Again, suitable for all ages, including children, this relaxing activity requires no special clothing or equipment, simply a calm and open mind. A short and beautiful sung prayer session is also being held on these afternoons, and with a special emphasis on the environment and how we can create a pure land in our minds, this session is likewise, open to all.
These sessions will be held on Monday 13th August from 2.30pm – 4.00pm and on Saturday 18th August from 1.00pm – 3.30pm. Those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and will receive a small gift as a lasting memory of the experience. We hope to see you there!
