Smart Supper is an event designed to inspire and enable young people to develop innovative approaches to solve city challenges.
In reality, it’s a simple concept. Secondary school pupils work in teams, using their imagination, to create new business ideas to solve city scale challenges. People from across the city are invited to attend Smart Supper. At the event they enjoy a light supper and spend the evening listening to the teams pitch their business ideas. But, it’s a competitive evening. Everyone in the audience votes for their favorite pitch with the winning team receiving a small investment from the night to invest in bringing their idea to life.
Smart Supper is not just about creating the entrepreneurs of the future. It’s tackling something that’s more fundamental than that. It’s allowing our young people to stand up and let their ideas be heard, showing them that they can challenge the status-quo and in doing so create a sustainable world in all senses of the term.

This Smart Supper is particularly exciting as it one of a number of events making up Peterborough’s very first Circular Week. Peterborough is initiating an ambitious line of work to create the UK’s first Circular City; embedding an innovative citywide circular economy approach. The students taking part will have the unique opportunity to present their ideas on how they imagine a Circular Peterborough would look like.
Join us for an inspiring evening.
A light supper will be served.
