Ifath joined Buckles in August 2021 as a Senior Consultant and has extensive experience in Planning, Infrastructure & Environment law, having worked with a range of public and private sector clients on a range of matters, including major developments, regeneration projects, infrastructure, affordable housing, and the High Speed 2 Rail Project. Ifath is involved from the outset on projects so clients can minimise issues and carry out due diligence work, site assembly, planning reports. Her approach is to work proactively to find solutions to clients’ issues and to be someone in whom they have full confidence.
Simon’s work covers all aspects of advisory, transactional and contentious planning, compulsory purchase and highways law, from the largest to smallest projects. Frequently advising on difficult or contentious projects with a view towards maximising the chances of securing planning permission and minimising the risks of a legal challenge. Simon has successfully advised commercial developers on securing planning permission for out-of-town retail centres, national and regional residential developers on major housing applications as well as strategic landowners looking to maximise the value of often green field land. Clients go to Simon not just for problem solving, but for clear, practical advice as to how they can achieve their objectives efficiently and cost-effectively.
