Now in its 11th year, National Apprenticeship Week is an exciting opportunity to celebrate apprenticeships and how they benefit people, businesses, communities and our economy.
It’s a national campaign that brings together people who are passionate about apprenticeships with the aim of encouraging more people to choose apprenticeships as a fast-track to a great career and business growth.
The Skills Service, run by Opportunity Peterborough, is arranging an information day in the Queensgate Shopping Centre, Peterborough, utilising the open space outside of Primark. This event will target parents, and any young people visiting the centre after school, as a way to raise awareness of apprenticeships as a career pathway.
To do this, The Skills Service will be showcasing some key organisations in the area who recruit apprentices, giving visitors the opportunity to hear about apprenticeships and how they work.
