We hope you can join Rachel McCahill, Head of Buckles’ Restructuring, Turnaround & Insolvency, and Sarah Rushton, Partner in Employment, on Thursday 3 March at 10am for a joint Insolvency and Employment webinar “Insolvency lessons from 2021!”

During the webinar, Rachel and Sarah will discuss how the ongoing pandemic has affected insolvency and employment, and what we can learn from the following circumstances:

  • Fraudulent claims being made to the furlough scheme which was implemented in March 2020.
  • Director’s pay – what lessons can be learnt?
  • What issues are we seeing coming through in cases in relation to the above?

Rachel’s clients range from insolvency practitioners, directors, individuals, companies, creditors, and financial institutions. Rachel is Joint Chair of the R3 East Midlands Ladies Committee and listed as a Leading individual in Legal 500, who are “…recognised for their very strong technical ability, in-depth capability, credibility with the most prestigious clients and a reputation for dealing with complex and innovative cases.”

Sarah joined Buckles in July 2021 as a Partner, practicing in Employment and Partnership Law. Her clients are varied and include charities, PLCs, and individuals ranging from Ultra HNW to senior executives. Sarah’s work has included restrictive covenant injunctions, bonus disputes and very high value discrimination claims. As well as the legal work, she is a trustee and director of a charity in Hackney that supports well-being and recovery from mental ill-health through therapy courses and social enterprise.
