Winning a business award is more than just recognition, it is a powerful way to raise your profile, build credibility, and open doors to new opportunities. As part of our Peterborough Centenary event series, celebrating 100 years of the Chamber in Peterborough, this free workshop is designed to help you do exactly that.

Whether you are entering awards for the first time or looking to strengthen your existing approach, this practical and engaging session will give you the tools, insight and confidence to create standout submissions that get noticed by judges.

Led by Anne Buckland of We Do Stories, this interactive workshop will guide you through the art of crafting a compelling award entry. You will learn how to identify your strongest stories, structure your responses effectively, and clearly demonstrate the impact of your work. Anne brings a wealth of experience in helping organisations tell their stories with clarity and purpose, ensuring your entry is both authentic and persuasive.

You will also hear from Dr Mike Greene, Deputy Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire about entering other prestigious awards, such as the King’s Award.

During the session, you will:

  • Gain a clear understanding of what judges are really looking for
  • Learn how to turn your achievements into a strong, evidence-based narrative
  • Discover common pitfalls and how to avoid them
  • Pick up practical tips to improve clarity, impact and scoring potential
  • Feel more confident in putting your business forward for recognition

This workshop is free to attend and is open to businesses of all sizes and sectors. Whether your goal is to enter the Peterborough Top 100 or to pursue regional and national awards, you will leave with actionable advice you can apply straight away. The event is also a great opportunity to collaborate and network with likeminded individuals across the Cambridgeshire community.
