Crowdfunding Seminar June 2017
Dates(s) - 30/06/2017 - 30/06/2017 10:30 - 13:00
Allia Future Business Centre, London Road, Peterborough, PE2 8AN

This crowdfunding event is aimed at anyone interested in raising finance for their business idea using crowdfunding – equity, debt, reward and donation. It will aim to present some of the most appropriate platforms and what is needed before, during and after; alongside tips on how to create a successful campaign.

This FREE event is designed to help start-ups and entrepreneurs better understand the opportunities and risks associated with Crowdfunding.

Crowdfunding is set to overtake venture capital as funds raised through the platform exceeded $34.4 billion across the globe in 2015 and show no signs of slowing. Entrepreneurs and investors alike are taking advantage of this new, flexible funding style, and the range of platforms around vary in set-up, aims and function.

This event is being hosted by Allia Future Business Centre, who provide work space and enterprise support to ventures who make a positive impact on people and planet in both Peterborough and Cambridge.

This event presents a unique opportunity to find out how crowdfunding could work for your business, and to understand the finer points of distinction between platforms.

We hear from two different Crowdfunding platforms, as well as sharing Case Studies from recent crowdfunding campaigns locally and Nationally.

Crowdcube are one of the first in the industry to hit the £200 million mark in capital raised. The milestone was achieved after Bluebella, an award-winning lingerie and nightwear brand, raised over £1 million from more than 600 investors. This is the latest achievement in what has already been a standout year for the fintech pioneer, with a series of funding milestones that demonstrates that investment rounds are getting bigger and, in many cases, faster.
