Our free Breakfast Business Briefing, in conjunction with Hegarty Solicitors, will cover legal and financial topics that will be beneficial to anyone involved in running a business and those responsible for managing employees, including potential Brexit implications.  The presentations will cover:

Topical Tax Issues – Ken Craig, Partner, Rawlinsons
Ken will review some of the most topical tax issues affecting business owners/managers and, if time permits, he will comment on the possible impact of Brexit on direct business taxes and VAT.
Employment Law Update – Tim Thompson, Partner, Hegarty Solicitors
Tim will give a general update covering current issues in Employment Law with a case law roundup looking at the most important cases heard in the past year.
Financial Markets: where are we now? – Gavin O’Neill, Consultant, Rawlinsons P.I.P Limited
It’s a challenging environment for financial markets, Gavin will take a look at 2016 and see what have been the main drivers. Central Bank intervention is playing a key role, particularly for income investors, find out what to expect and the opportunities available.
Data Protection and Limitation of Liability within Contracts – Andrew Heeler, Partner, Hegarty Solicitors
Andrew Heeler will raise the importance of limitation of liability clauses in contracts and how, if done properly, they can substantially reduce business risk.  He will also give an introduction to a substantial new piece of legislation on Data Protection.

Registration begins at 7.30am, with breakfast baps and pastries available during informal networking between 7.30am and 8am.  The presentations will commence at 8am and the formal presentations and question and answer session will finish approximately 9.10am.
