Dates(s) - 22/06/2017 - 22/06/2017 18:00 - 20:00
Ferry Meadows Country Park, Ham Lane, Orton Waterville, Peterborough , PE2 5UU

We would like to invite you to a preview evening showcasing the art of our Artist-in-Residence, Charron Pugsley-Hill at Ferry Meadows Country Park. Since September last year, Charron has been creating a wide range of installations and paintings, focused on the seasons in the Park.

Charron Pugsley-Hill is well known for her vibrant use of colour as well as her engagement of people in her work. Her work commemorating the people, places and events of World War I a hundred years on is internationally celebrated and includes the delightful SKY OF POPPIES in Queensgate which involved hundreds in the creation of felted poppies to commemorate the Battle of the Somme.

This will be your first opportunity to view and purchase Charron’s stunning original paintings, prints and other items from the work inspired by Nene Park during her residency over the past year. The Nene Park Blanket will also be on view for the first time during the evening. Lots of Park visitors have created flowers, leaves and birds for this beautiful tribute to the nature of the Park.

The preview will be held on Thursday 22 June from 6pm until 8pm in the Discovery Den in Ferry Meadows Country Park (near to the Visitor Centre).

Charron will also be available in The Discovery Den over the following weekend – Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 June from 11am until 5pm as part of Peterborough Artist Open Studios (PAOS) along with Eve Marshall, Artisan Felter and Lynne Collins, Sketcher. More information on PAOS can be found at www.paos.org.uk
